About Jacques Philippe Hébert Jacques Philippe Hébert was born in Montreal on June 7th 1952. He has lived most of his live in City of Laval, Quebec, Canada, and studied Arts in "Cegep du Vieux-Montreal" during the 70's. Life has leaded him to pursue a career as a businessman in finance. He succeeded mostly because of his perseverance, his discipline and his business flair and management strengths. But all throughout his career, he always regretted not to have pursued his most profound dream, and its only 25 years later that he decided to renew with his first passion being a painter. Being a perfectionist and a passionate, Jacques had rapidly putted himself to work and with a determined constituency he began to express deeply confined emotions with an obsession and continuous urge to evolve and enhance the quality of his medium. In 2002, Jacques Philippe Hébert received the Award "Discovery of the year" at the fall “Beaux-Arts" (Fine Arts) Exhibition in Montreal. In spring 2003 he successfully held his first solo exhibition, at which people were able to discover his most unique talent. During the following years, Jacques had inevitably instigated an experimental development phase, which leaded him to refine and create his unique expression technique. In the year 2003, while Jacques was resourcing himself in Italy, he discovered the skills and particular expression of stained and blown glass artisans in Murano (Venice). He was marveled by their ability to create depth in colors, and began to imagine and conceive, how he could integrate these characteristics to his work. He then decided to explore deeper by assisting to blown glass workshop sessions where he learned part of his exclusive technique. When he returned to his workshop, this new learing curve became an obsession, furthermore adapting glass work technique to his art, a personal challenge. From then on his abstract works evolved into a multidisciplinary and proprietary technique and self-expressive approach, starting with traditional, followed by sculptural manipulation of glass elements, and joined and fused by Jacques personal and exclusive finishing technique. The birth of this new type of art and addition of blown glass fusion has continuously motivated Jacques to comb the world in search for rare and unique specimens who would enrich his color pallet. Jacques is now known and considered as the world pioneer and creator of this technique. During the last 2 years, Jacques has accomplished significant commercial success and breakthroughs In Canada, USA, and Mexico.
